"From administrative sanction, we have collected Rp 58,800,000 yesterday," he added.
By imposing sanctions, his side hoped it could give deterrent effect to the violators thus they could care more about their health and others in order to prevent COVID-19 transmission.
"In this activity, we are not only educating people, but also imposing social sanction or administrative sanction Rp 250,000 in accordance with applicable regulations. Collected fines will be handed over to regional treasury," he said.
